Artwork Setup Guide
To ensure the best possible print quality, all artwork should be supplied with sufficient bleed and a safe area for important content.
The example below demonstrates how artwork should be prepared for a typical printed insert.

Understanding Bleed
Bleed is the extra artwork that extends beyond the finished size of your product.
We recommend supplying artwork with at least 5mm bleed on all sides. This helps prevent unwanted white edges appearing after trimming.
In the example shown:
- Finished Insert Size: 70 × 45mm
- Artwork Size Required: 80 × 55mm
- Bleed: 5mm on each side
Understanding the Safe Zone
The safe zone is the area where important content should be placed.
To avoid text or important elements being trimmed during production, keep the following inside the safe zone:
- Text
- Logos
- QR Codes
- Barcodes
- Faces
- Important design details
Anything placed outside the safe zone may be affected by normal trimming tolerances.

Common Artwork Problems
White Edges After Trimming
Usually caused by artwork being supplied at the finished size without bleed.
Text Too Close to the Edge
Important content placed outside the safe zone may appear uneven or may be trimmed.
Low Resolution Artwork
Screenshots, social media images and images copied from websites are often too low resolution for high-quality printing.
